Visiting Zawyet Sultan
Where To Find The Site
You can find the archaeological site Zawyet Sultan just to the south of the modern village of the same name, some eight kilometres upstream from the modern city of el-Minya, on the East bank of the Nile. It is easiest to reach by taking the new highway that passes through New Minya (also located on the East side of the Nile).
Opening Hours and Tickets
Tickets can be bought at the site entrance, and opening hours are subject to change depending on local holidays.
Ameneties and Accessibility
Zawyet Sultan is somewhat off the beaten track. You can reach it by your own bus or car, but on the site itself your only mode of transport is on foot, and primarily off-road.
There are public bathrooms available, as well as benches to rest in the shade.
